Bring the Bass Back – Northside

Lalah Gray is a Howard University music performance student and North Minneapolis native who launched Bring the Bass Back – Northside. The project began with a community bass performance at National Night Out in North Minneapolis, followed by attendance at a professional recording and conducting intensive in Los Angeles, and virtual workshops with youth at the Summit OIC Teen Tech Center. The goal was to inspire North Minneapolis youth musicians by showcasing a local success story and demonstrating that a career in classical music is achievable.
