BiPoc Urban Fishing

Baztec  will be providing a series of 2 bilingual fishing events in July or August for community members of North Minneapolis on the Mississippi River. Baztec will provide rods, reels, bait, terminal fishing tackle, and professional instructors to show participants how to properly use fishing equipment. We will have children and family activities that include multiple stations such as: arts and crafts, knot tying proficiency, proper casting and fish management.
Baztec fishing programs, will help the BIPOC community build confidence with basic fishing skills and have the ability to pass on the love and knowledge of fishing to their children and future generations.
We were founded in 2017 and we have served over 500 families in the Minneapolis community. We are currently partnering with Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, Minnesota DNR, St. Paul Parks and Rec, and City of Robbinsdale to provide fishing opportunities members of those communities.
