Building on 10 years of running the Squad of Players Adult Kickball League, Londell Anderson launched a free kids kickball league at Shingle Creek Park for North Minneapolis youth. The program provided jerseys for 6 teams, field fees, kickballs, trophies, medals, and meals for players every Tuesday across 6 weeks. The league gave kids a fun summer outlet, taught teamwork and sportsmanship, and created volunteer opportunities for adults in the community as coaches, mentors, and referees.
